About Nets of cubes.
In nets of cubes questions, you need to match a cube's net (a flattened 2-D outline of a 3-D shape) to its formed cube. You may also have to match a cube to its net. Each net is made up of 6 squares. These squares are called faces.
The nets and cubes have patterns on them and these need to be matched up exactly.
The most common types of net are the T shape, the vertical cross and the horizontal cross (t-shape).
Constructing your own cube is the most effective way to see how the net folds and unfolds. The coloured edges help the student learn the relationships between the net faces.
